LatticeScan is a tool for checking how ready a domain is for post-quantum cryptography. This page explains what we collect and why. The short version: we do not use tracking cookies, and we keep as little as we can.
Cookies
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Visitors to the site receive no cookies at all. The only cookie we ever set is a sign-in cookie for our own administrator, and only when they log in to the private admin area. It is strictly necessary for that login and is never set for ordinary visitors.
Analytics
We keep first-party, privacy-friendly analytics so we can see how the site is used. For each page view we record the page, a one-way salted hash of your IP address (never the raw address), an approximate location derived from your IP by our hosting provider (usually city level), your browser and device type, and the site that referred you. We use this to understand traffic and improve the site. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running and improving a service. We do not sell this data or share it for advertising.
Scans
When you scan a domain, we look only at information that is already public: certificates in public Certificate Transparency logs and the TLS handshake any browser performs. We store the results and publish a report page for that domain. This is public information about the domain, not personal information about you.
Contact and updates
If you contact us or sign up for updates, we store the details you give us (such as your name, email, and message) so we can reply or send you news. You can unsubscribe at any time, or ask us to delete your details, by emailing hello@latticescan.com.
Who processes data for us
We run on Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Cloudflare (DNS), and Resend (email). These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the service.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. To exercise any of these, email hello@latticescan.com and we will respond.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change, and note the date at the top.
