An address that has never been spent from keeps its public key hidden behind a hash. The first time it is spent, the key is published, and it can never be hidden again. Most holders never notice that moment. Canary watches an address and sends one email when it happens.
What is stored. Your email and the address you asked us to watch, nothing else. That is the only personal data anywhere on this site; the table is locked to the server and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe. We do not sell, share or enrich it.
What you get.One confirmation now, with the address’s current state, and one alert if and when its key is revealed. Nothing else, ever. An already-exposed address gets the confirmation and a note that there is nothing left to alert on.
For institutions. Watching a whole reserve on a schedule, with a signed attestation each time, is a reserve attestation.
